Since
spring has just arrived this past Friday, it is now to whip out those spring
outfits. Since spring weather can sometimes be unpredictable, here are some
ways that you can incorporate some of your winter wardrobe into spring.
1. Add Layers
Layering
can be a great way to add some warmth to the occasional chilly spring day, and
since many of us have been layering up all winter, let’s use that knowledge and
layer up for the new season. The best way to go about this it is to layer with
light weight pieces in order to put together a chic look that will not look like you’re
in a winter wonderland. Some staple items to layer up this spring are some
sheers blouses, camisoles, denim jackets, and scarves.
2. Add Prints
Winter time was the time for dark colors and chunky textures that provided more warmth during those gloomy months. Spring is the time for the exact opposite, now we can add some bright and bold prints to liven up the mood for those sunny days ahead.
3. Accessorize
One
of the best and easiest ways to transition to a spring look is through
accessories, switch out the dark and subdued accessories and add some bold and
bright statement making additions to an outfit. This could be done with other
additions other than jewelry, add a bright colored bag and shoes for that extra
pop to an outfit, or even add some bright colors to your nails and makeup as some bright beauty additions.
4. Lighten Up the Load
When
the warmer weather hits, the clothing becomes less and less. So be brave and
put on those skirts, shorts, and some crop tops. There is no need to do it all
in one shot, the best way to transition into lightening up your clothing load
is to take baby steps. Start off by wearing a pair of high waist jeans and a
crop top or a lightweight tank, the next step could be wearing a
skirt or a pair of shorts with a crop top and some sandals, or even some cute
booties that were worn during the winter.
